Removal of the water-oil insulation tube for the CV cable insulation breakdown testing device [Design and Manufacturing]

Please leave the design and manufacturing of the water-oil insulation tube to prevent insulation breakdown at the cable termination during the insulation breakdown test of the removed CV cable to us!

A water-oil insulated tube is a type of insulating tube used in insulation breakdown tests to assess the aging condition of CV cables that have been removed from actual power facilities. This tube is inserted into the cable terminals and filled with water and oil to relax the electric field. The purpose of this test is to apply alternating high voltage to the removed CV cable and cause insulation breakdown in the effective electrode part (XLPE). However, at the cable termination (terminal part), the equipotential lines and electric field lines become skewed, concentrating the electric field, which leads to breakdown occurring near the outer conductor of the terminal. By using the "water-oil insulated tube" to fill it with water and oil, the stress of electric field concentration at the terminal is alleviated, and the potential gradient becomes gentler, allowing for an increase in voltage up to the point where insulation breakdown occurs in the effective electrode part. Our company has a long history of involvement in the insulation breakdown testing and terminal processing of removed CV cables (3.3kV to 22kV) as a partner of research institutes related to power. Based on our experience and technology related to this test, we can design and manufacture water-oil insulated tubes according to cable diameter and voltage. Recommended for those who: - Want to observe water tree degradation phenomena - Want to understand the aging condition of CV cables.
